Motor, Massage Chair Motor

A robotic massage chair is a chair that contains internal electronic motors and gears designed to massage the person sitting in it.

A Massage Chair Motor is the electrical device that provide power to its attachments and create motions inside the chair. Both the number and the power of motors need to be considered to make a good massage chair.

Roller, Massage Roller

The Massage Roller is a spherical device that roll or rotate acting like a human’s hand to give massages. It is powered by the motors.

The rollers move in patterns determined by the design and technology. some massage chairs rollers have very limited range of motion — only move up and down the back of the chair while other massage chairs have more complexity– up and down, left and right, forward and backward, in circles…

Stroke length, back stroke length, the length of the massage stroke

It refers to the distance on your back that the massage mechanism will cover.

Track, Roller Track

It is a railway-like frame that supports and guides motors and rollers movements. The length of these tracks determine the distance the rollers can travel – the stroke length.

3D Massage, 3D Roller

It is a feature designed to  allow the rollers to move not only up/down, left/right but also in/out so the rollers can penetrate into your back muscles.

S-shape, S-Track, S shaped massage roller track

It is the track in S-shape when looking at a side view of the chair. It is the technology behind 3D Massage/Roller which supports the rollers move forward and backward besides up/down and left/right.

L-shape, L-Track, L shaped massage roller track

This one talks about the roller track which goes from back of the chair to the seat of the chair. This technology enables the massage roller to extend massage coverage from the neck/back areas all the way to the glutes and thighs.

Airbags

Airbags used for massage chairs are the pockets of air that can inflate and deflate in varieties of movements. Airbag Massage Systems can mimic deep tissue massage- compressing and manipulating the muscles and connective tissue.

Vibration, Vibration Massage

Vibration gives a trembling and shaking effect to tissues and muscles.

In Part 2 of ‘Robotic Massage Chairs Jargon 101’, we will talk about the different Massage Types! If you have any questions about the robotic massage, email us inquery@uusourcing.com to get answered!
